Only 27 years old, Ben is a seventh generation farmer and co-owner of Three Springs Fruit Farm in Aspers, Pennsylvania. He grows apples and other tree fruits…as well as a variety of produce like asparagus, onions and squash. Three Springs had long been committed to thoughtful farming, but two years ago, when he heard about Food Alliance, Ben immediately recognized certification as a valuable way to assess the farm’s sustainability performance and demonstrate that commitment to his customers... the farm got certified right away.
