Farm & Ranch Evaluation Criteria
Every Food Alliance Certified producer meets our Whole
Farm/Ranch evaluation criteria as well as a set of evaluation criteria
for each crop or animal product that is certified. Food Alliance
maintains inspection tools with evaluation criteria for over 3o
livestock and cropping systems.

Our crop- and animal-specific inspection tools contain both fixed and variable evaluation criteria. Fixed criteria must be met to qualify for certification. Variable criteria are the basis for a point system that helps determine whether the farm or ranch meets the performance threshold for certification.
